Art Analysis
Overlapping circles and geometric density
Bremmer fills the square frame with a crowded arrangement of geometric shapes that touch every edge. A large red semi-circle and a large orange circle sit near the center and the lower-left, acting as the primary anchors for the composition. Around these larger forms, the artist layers triangles, thin rectangles, and smaller circles in a variety of colors including green, blue, purple, and pink. These shapes overlap and stack against a light grey background, creating a sense of depth through the way they cover one another.
The edges of the image contain a high concentration of smaller details. Thin rectangles and tiny circles are scattered along the perimeter, contrasting with the broader surfaces of the central shapes. While the larger forms dominate the middle, the thin lines and sharp angles of the triangles draw the eye toward the corners. The variety of tones, from bright yellow to deep red, ensures that no single corner of the frame remains empty or plain.
