Art Analysis
Stacked rectangles and concentric circles
This square composition is divided into several vertical and horizontal rectangular sections that fit together to fill the entire frame. Large concentric circles and thick vertical bars stand out in the center and on the left side. The image uses a flat arrangement of red, black, white, blue-grey, and tan shapes. There is no sense of depth or distance in the way these elements are placed.
Smaller details occupy the edges and corners of the work. These include rows of dots, thin horizontal lines, and sections of diagonal stripes. While the large circles dominate the middle, these smaller geometric patterns break up the solid blocks of color. The lines and shapes are organized strictly within their rectangular boundaries, creating a structured map of different patterns across the surface.
