Art Analysis
Overlapping shapes and intersecting lines
This square composition is filled with a dense arrangement of geometric forms that reach every edge of the frame. A large circle sits near the middle, surrounded by a variety of triangles, semicircles, and smaller circles. Straight lines of different thicknesses cut across the image in horizontal, vertical, and diagonal directions. Because these shapes overlap and intersect throughout the entire space, there is no clear sense of what is in front or what is behind. The eye moves across the surface without stopping at one specific area.
The colors used are pink, purple, green, yellow, white, and teal. While the center contains the largest circular form, the corners and edges are occupied by vertical bars and smaller round shapes. Some lines run the full length of the image, while others stop where they meet a different shape. This creates a busy surface where thin lines and thick bars share the same space as the curved and pointed forms.
