Art Analysis
Stacked grids and nested geometry
This work presents a dense arrangement of geometric forms that fill the entire frame. Squares and rectangles provide a structural base, while circles and semicircles are placed within or across these boundaries. The image is divided into two identical horizontal sections, where the top half repeats the bottom half exactly. This creates a rhythmic, mirrored effect across the whole surface. Shades of green, purple, and blue are used throughout, giving the flat shapes a consistent color scheme.
A closer look reveals a mottled texture that covers the shapes, softening the sharp edges of the grid. Some elements are nested inside others, such as smaller circles sitting within larger rectangles. The overlapping shapes create a sense of depth despite the flat composition. The vertical and horizontal lines guide the eye across the repeating pattern, highlighting the way the different geometric pieces fit together like a puzzle.
