Art Analysis
Overlapping clusters of jagged shapes
This square abstract work presents a surface filled with irregular, jagged marks that overlap one another. The arrangement spreads across the entire view, though the distribution of colors changes from the middle to the edges. Pale yellow and pink shapes gather in larger groups toward the center and the left side. Meanwhile, the right and bottom sections of the image consist of broader areas of orange and tan.
Smaller details appear as flecks of light blue and muted green scattered between the larger forms. The flat-on perspective emphasizes the texture of these dense marks. There are no letters or symbols, only the varied tones of the shapes. The eye moves from the bright, concentrated clusters in the middle out toward the warmer, wider sections at the edges.
