Art Analysis
Interlocking circles and columns
This square composition presents a dense arrangement of geometric forms that fill the entire space. Large concentric circles and semicircles dominate the center and the four quadrants, creating a sense of balance. On the far left and right edges, small squares containing circles stack into vertical columns. Thin white and pink lines act as connectors, weaving through the dark purple, magenta, olive green, and light pink shapes to tie the pattern together.
The image is entirely flat, avoiding any sense of depth or perspective. The eye moves across the surface following the straight lines that intersect with the rounded edges of the semicircles. While the larger forms command the most space, the repetitive small squares on the sides provide a structured border for the more fluid, interlocking shapes in the middle. This modern abstract pattern relies on the repetition of these simple forms to create its complex, edge-to-edge design.
