Art Analysis
Overlapping panels and concentric rings
This square composition is built from a grid of rectangular sections that sit side by side or overlap. Large concentric circles dominate several of these panels, drawing the eye toward the center of the various colored blocks. Thick black and white lines act as borders or connectors, weaving through the background colors of pink, purple, orange, green, and tan. The entire surface has a grainy, mottled appearance rather than smooth color.
Smaller details are scattered across the grid, including tiny dots and squares that appear near the edges of the larger shapes. Straight lines and curves intersect the rectangular panels, breaking up the geometric modern abstract pattern into smaller compartments. Red, white, and purple shapes stand out against the varied backgrounds, creating a dense arrangement where every part of the frame is filled with a different geometric element.
