In this portrait-oriented map, Carla Daly utilizes a clean, digital illustration style to guide the viewer across the British Isles. The work replaces traditional cartographic austerity with a friendly, cartoon aesthetic, featuring a variety of animals that bring a sense of life and personality to different regions. The soft color palette and clear outlines make the geography accessible, turning a navigational tool into a piece of visual storytelling.

By blending the educational structure of a map with the imaginative spirit of animal portraiture, the piece invites a sense of wanderlust. The composition balances the intricate details of the coastline with open spaces, allowing the whimsical characters to stand out. It is a work that celebrates the joy of exploration and the charm of the natural world, rendered with a lighthearted, modern touch.
