In this work, Ristova explores the chromatic intensity of a mountain range at dusk. The composition utilizes a portrait orientation to emphasize the height and scale of the peaks, allowing the eye to climb from the shadowed foothills up to the summits still catching the day's final, fiery light. The application of color suggests a landscape defined by sharp contrasts, where the warmth of the sky meets the deep, cooling tones of the stone.

By isolating this specific vantage point, the artist invites a meditation on the stillness of the wilderness. The focus remains entirely on the natural architecture of the mountains, stripping away any peripheral distractions to highlight the raw, vibrant energy of the sunset. It is a study of how light can redefine a solid landscape into a series of glowing planes and deep recesses.
