In this work, Ristova explores the physical presence of line, treating each mark as a sculptural element rather than a mere boundary. The surface is built with a palpable sense of weight, where the ridges and valleys of the medium mimic the weathered patterns found in stone or bark. By focusing on organic forms, the artist invites a slow, meditative observation of how light catches on the raised edges of the composition.

The vertical orientation emphasizes a sense of growth and structural integrity, guiding the eye upward through a series of interlocking shapes. There is a grounded honesty in the way the textures interact, eschewing polished finishes for a raw, honest exploration of material. The result is a piece that feels deeply connected to the tactile realities of the environment, capturing the rugged beauty of form in its most essential state.
