In this landscape-oriented digital illustration, Rakos leans into a bold cartoon aesthetic to define the distinct personalities of her subjects. The poodle stands as a fluffy anchor for the composition, surrounded by a collection of cats that peer out with wide, expressive eyes. The artist uses solid blocks of color and crisp outlines to create a sense of graphic immediacy, stripping away unnecessary detail to focus on the rhythmic repetition of ears, tails, and paws.

There is a gentle humor found in the way the animals are layered together, suggesting a shared space where boundaries are blurred. By utilizing a digital medium, Rakos achieves a saturated vibrancy that gives the family portrait a modern, storybook quality. The work avoids sentimentality, opting instead for a structured playfulness that captures the quirky, crowded reality of living alongside animals.
