In this portrait-oriented study, Khokhar explores the architecture of the Peruvian Pisco Sour, emphasizing the distinct layers that define the drink. The artist captures the contrast between the velvety foam head and the pale, potent liquid beneath, treating the glass not just as a vessel but as a structural element that anchors the frame. The use of a vertical format draws the eye upward, mimicking the lift of the egg-white topping and the aromatic droplets of bitters that crown the surface.

There is a rhythmic simplicity to the work that reflects the precision of mixology. By isolating the cocktail against a clean backdrop, Khokhar invites the viewer to consider the balance of sour, sweet, and spirit. The composition avoids unnecessary clutter, focusing instead on the interplay of light through glass and the specific, inviting palette of a South American staple.
