In this expansive landscape, Carla Daly reimagines the biblical narrative as a vibrant, crowded voyage. The horizontal orientation allows for a rhythmic placement of various animal pairs, creating a visual parade that leads the eye across the deck of the vessel. Each creature is rendered with a distinct personality, contributing to a collective atmosphere of safety and anticipation amidst the rising waters.

The artwork utilizes its wide format to ground the massive ark within its environment, balancing the weight of the wooden structure against the open horizon. By focusing on the sheer variety of life on board, Daly emphasizes themes of protection and the natural world. The composition feels inclusive and busy, inviting viewers to scan the scene and discover the small, quiet interactions between the different species gathered together.
