In this intricate illustration, Kosunen explores the depth of a forest floor through a meticulous hand-drawn approach. The composition leans into a vintage aesthetic, utilizing fine lines to distinguish between various leaf shapes and organic textures. By focusing on the structural variety of nature, the artist creates a sense of immersion within the greenery, inviting a closer look at the patterns that emerge when flora is allowed to grow wild.

The portrait orientation emphasizes the verticality of the trees and the upward reach of the botanical elements. There is a grounded, archival quality to the work, reminiscent of traditional field studies but imbued with a modern sense of atmosphere. The piece avoids grand vistas in favor of a localized, intimate view of the landscape, celebrating the tangled harmony of the forest through deliberate and disciplined mark-making.
