In this composition, Rakos utilizes a squared orientation to create a sense of immediate intimacy with the subject. The central figure of the corgi is rendered with an emphasis on personality, its wide-eyed gaze and open-mouthed grin serving as the emotional anchor of the work. Surrounding the dog, a variety of stylized flowers bloom in a dense, rhythmic pattern that fills the space with color and movement.

The artist avoids complex perspective in favor of a flat, illustrative style that highlights the charm of the canine form. By nestling the dog directly into the botanical elements, the piece suggests a harmonious connection between domestic pets and the garden. The symmetry provided by the square format ensures that the viewer’s attention remains fixed on the joyful interaction between the animal and its vibrant surroundings.
