In this digital drawing, Kosunen leans into the expressive potential of the cartoon medium to capture a specific, relatable grumpiness. The composition focuses entirely on the cat’s face, where heavy brows and a downturned mouth create a heavy sense of dissatisfaction. By stripping away background distractions, the artist forces a direct confrontation with the subject's comical frown, highlighting the personality often found in our domestic companions.

The technique utilizes clean lines and a saturated palette typical of modern illustration, allowing the blue hue of the fur to contrast with the warmth of the character's gaze. This work balances the whimsical nature of animal art with a sharp, observational wit, proving that a portrait can be as much about an attitude as it is about a likeness.
