This portrait-oriented painting merges the familiar textures of a landscape with the surreal scale of deep space. By placing celestial bodies within a reachable horizon, the artist strips away the cold distance usually associated with astronomy, replacing it with a sense of intimate wonder. The composition draws the eye upward, moving from the solid earth into a sky that feels both heavy with mystery and light with possibility.

The work utilizes the language of surrealism to explore how we orient ourselves within the universe. Rather than a chaotic void, the space depicted here feels intentional and rhythmic, inviting a meditative gaze. The brushwork and color palette ground the cosmic subject matter, making the infinite feel like a place one could walk through, provided they have the heart to step forward.
