In this expansive landscape, Carla Daly translates the coastal experience into a vibrant tapestry of geometric shapes and playful silhouettes. The village is rendered with a sense of organized cheer, where every rooftop and window contributes to a larger pattern of communal life by the water. By stripping away complex shadows and focusing on bold, saturated hues, the artist emphasizes the structural rhythm of the town, making the built environment feel as organic as the shoreline it inhabits.

The horizontal orientation allows the eye to wander across the shoreline, discovering small details tucked within the blocks of color. There is a distinct sense of balance in how the clusters of buildings meet the open space of the sea, creating a composition that feels both energetic and grounded. Daly’s approach avoids the literal, instead offering a stylized interpretation of place that prioritizes the emotional warmth of a sunny day at the coast.
