In this portrait-oriented composition, Ristova explores the geometry of a mountain range under the influence of a setting sun. The work relies on a bold palette to define the receding ridges, turning the natural world into a structured arrangement of light and shadow. Each peak is rendered with a clarity that emphasizes the verticality of the terrain, drawing the eye upward through the cooling tones of the valley toward the warmth of the sky.

The vertical format heightens the sense of scale, allowing the viewer to experience the vastness of the mountains within a focused, intimate frame. By stripping away intricate detail in favor of clean lines and saturated hues, the artist focuses on the emotional resonance of the sunset. The result is a balanced study of nature that feels grounded yet vibrant, capturing a fleeting atmospheric moment through a deliberate and steady hand.
