In this portrait-oriented work, the artist explores the tactile relationship between a black cat and the shifting nature of water. The dark silhouette of the feline provides a sharp, graphic anchor against the fluid environment, highlighting the tension and grace inherent in a predator’s play. Every line serves to direct the eye upward, following the lean form of the cat as it interacts with its surroundings.

The composition avoids unnecessary clutter, focusing instead on the atmospheric quality of the encounter. By utilizing a portrait format, the artist creates a sense of intimacy and height, making the viewer feel as though they are witnessing a private, fleeting moment of discovery. The contrast between the solid dark fur and the translucent elements of play creates a balanced, engaging visual rhythm.
