Art Analysis
Where Geometric Precision Meets the Energy of Fluid Paint
Amelia Deacon blends digital precision with the grit of traditional fine arts techniques, layering expressive brushwork over a foundation of geometric interaction. The composition thrives on the tension between these elements, using a diverse palette to guide the eye through a dense, textural terrain that feels both deliberate and spontaneous.
Drawing from both abstract traditions and the bold energy of pop art, the work functions as a layered interpretation of space and color. The interplay of splatters and structured strokes creates a striking visual impact, inviting viewers to find their own meaning within the vibrant, non-representational forms.
The work balances sharp, structured forms against fluid, expressive marks to create visual tension.
The artist employs thick, visible applications of paint to create a surface that feels alive and physically present.
The work utilizes bold, saturated colors and repetitive circular motifs to channel the energy of mid-century graphic traditions.
The artist uses color theory and psychology to evoke specific emotional responses to the interplay of key concepts within the frame.
