In this portrait-oriented digital work, Carla Daly reimagines cartography through the bold language of graphic design. By separating the world into its primary continents, the artist emphasizes the unique shapes and spatial relationships that define our planet. The use of a vivid, multi-colored palette replaces traditional topographical data with a joyful aesthetic, making the vast scale of global travel feel accessible and engaging.

Technically, the piece relies on clean lines and flat blocks of color characteristic of modern illustration. The vertical orientation provides a fresh perspective on the world map, stacking the continents in a way that guides the eye from north to south. It is a functional piece of art that prioritizes clarity and cheer, stripping away complex borders to focus on the foundational silhouettes of the earth.
