The composition centers on the quiet transition of light across a winter wilderness. By applying acrylics to capture the fleeting glow of a sunset, the artist emphasizes the contrast between the cold, blue-toned shadows of the snow and the soft pinks and oranges reflecting off the water’s surface. The winding creek serves as a visual guide, leading the eye through layers of dense, frost-dusted trees that stand still in the evening air.

Presented in a classic frame, the work focuses on the physical textures of a cold-weather environment. The brushwork suggests the weight of accumulated snow on sturdy limbs and the delicate crystalline quality of the frozen banks. Rather than a harsh or biting cold, the piece evokes a sense of sheltered stillness, inviting a moment of reflection on the silent patterns found within a dormant forest.
