In this portrait-oriented work, Hello Elsbeth explores the tension between the routine of a Monday and the inherent desire for freedom. The verticality of the piece directs the eye through a sequence of forms that suggest growth and momentum, mirroring the way a single day can expand into a broader sense of possibility. The artist uses the space to create a visual dialogue between order and spontaneity, allowing the viewer to find a sense of calm within the activity.

The composition relies on its upright format to emphasize a reaching quality, as if the subject matter is striving toward an unseen light. By focusing on the interplay of shape and space, the work avoids the clutter of the everyday, instead offering a distilled version of a morning’s energy. It is a grounded study of how we carry our own wildness into the structures of our daily lives.
