In this vibrant cartographic illustration, Carla Daly reimagines the sprawling geography of New York as an approachable and spirited world. By utilizing a portrait orientation, the artist emphasizes the vertical energy of the city, stacking neighborhoods and landmarks in a way that feels both organized and imaginative. The palette is lively, stripping away the grit of the metropolis to reveal a joyful skeleton of streets and monuments.

Every corner of the map is treated with a lighthearted touch, focusing on the character of the city rather than strict topographical accuracy. The work functions as both a guide and a piece of storytelling, where the scale of the buildings and the placement of icons create a rhythmic, visual harmony. It is a celebration of place that prioritizes a sense of belonging and curiosity over traditional navigation.
