In this squared composition, Carla Daly translates the vast expanse of Canada into a welcoming visual story. By simplifying complex borders into soft, approachable forms, the artist invites viewers to explore the provinces not as distant territories, but as part of a cohesive and cheerful puzzle. The balance of the square format centers the landmass, allowing the eye to wander across the regions with a sense of curiosity and lightheartedness.

Every element within the frame serves to make the map feel lived-in and personal. The use of color and space avoids the rigid formality of traditional cartography, opting instead for a style that emphasizes warmth and accessibility. It is a work that celebrates the idea of home and heritage through a gentle, illustrative hand, making the geography of the north feel intimate and bright.
