Carla Daly brings a sense of humor to the deep sea by outfitting a massive whale with a pair of bright, colorful glasses. The composition relies on clean lines and a cheerful palette, turning a majestic marine mammal into a friendly, studious figure. By focusing on the unexpected accessory, the work invites a sense of curiosity and joy, making the vastness of the ocean feel intimate and spirited.

The squared orientation of the piece anchors the central subject, providing a balanced frame that highlights the whale's gentle expression. This format emphasizes the graphic quality of the illustration, allowing the bold colors of the glasses to pop against the simpler tones of the whale’s body. It is a straightforward, charming study in personality and color that appeals to the imagination.
