In this portrait-oriented composition, the artist employs a thick impasto technique to create a surface that physically catches and holds light. The work moves upward from a foundation of deep purples and blues, suggesting the cool shadows of a valley floor, before erupting into a sequence of oranges and yellows. These gestural layers mimic the rugged terrain of a mountain range while maintaining an abstract fluidity that invites personal interpretation.

The energetic brushwork gives the sky an ethereal quality, where pastel hues soften the intensity of the lower palette. By prioritizing texture and joyful color transitions over literal representation, the painting captures the fleeting warmth of a landscape at its most radiant. It serves as a vibrant focal point, grounded by a classic frame that balances the raw, expressive movement of the paint.
