In this portrait-oriented illustration, Lisboa employs a soft wash of blues, greens, and subtle reds to evoke the serene environment of the open ocean. The two whales are depicted in mid-glide, their forms overlapping slightly to suggest a close, natural companionship. The watercolor technique allows the colors to bleed and blend at the edges, mimicking the way light and water distort shapes beneath the surface, creating a sense of quietude and vast, open space.

While the subject matter carries a sophisticated simplicity, the gentle color story and approachable style make the work well-suited for a variety of settings, from calm living areas to a child's nursery. By focusing on the graceful silhouettes of these animals rather than intricate detail, Lisboa captures a moment of prehistoric peace that feels both grounded and imaginative.
