Art Analysis
From the artist, 83 Oranges
A lush botanical journey toward the center of the self
83 Oranges employs a rich variety of tropical plant diversity to create a sanctuary for the spirit. The composition balances human facial structure with intricate pattern design, suggesting a fusion of the individual and the environment. Through careful color utilization, the artist builds a world where the search for identity is mirrored in the growth of the jungle, creating a sense of structured order amidst the organic.
The work draws on Art Deco influence to give the botanical elements a rhythmic, almost musical quality. These dense foliage layers do more than decorate; they act as the hiding places mentioned in the title, inviting a closer look at how we hide and reveal ourselves. It is a study in harmonious balance, where the abstract concept of the soul is given form through vibrant, graphic illustration.
Dense foliage patterns envelop the figure, creating a sense of a private, verdant sanctuary.
The artist uses hard-edged shapes to define the soft, fluid outlines of tropical leaves and stems.
By blending a female silhouette with floral sketches, the artist explores how personal identity is rooted in the natural world.
The composition translates the auditory experience of music into a visual arrangement of vibrant, abstract shapes.
