Art Analysis
A metallic fragment bridging the natural and the supernatural
As a part of the Promontorium Sacrum series, this work operates as a focused study of fragments, utilizing collage and illustration to build a complex narrative structure. Luzalba navigates the space between fine art photography and visual fantasy, presenting a portrait that feels both physically grounded and spiritually expansive.
The composition thrives on a diverse exploration of texture, where tangible metallic surface designs meet the soft uncertainty of the supernatural. By pushing the boundaries of abstraction, the artist uses these layered materials to house philosophical ideas, turning a simple arrangement of nature into a deep meditation on mental wellbeing and internal discovery.
Luzalba combines illustration with physical layering to create a composition that feels both flat and deeply dimensional.
The piece moves beyond traditional representation, using fragments to explore the edge of what is recognizable.
The mask is rendered through a series of intentional shapes that suggest a deeper, non-verbal narrative through visual shorthand.
