In this work, the artist explores the soft interplay between water and the surrounding landscape. The composition utilizes a portrait orientation to emphasize the depth of the pond, drawing the eye from the gentle ripples in the foreground toward the lush greenery that frames the banks. The color palette remains grounded in the earthy tones of the countryside, favoring a naturalistic approach that honors the simplicity of the scene.

By focusing on a single, secluded body of water, the piece creates an intimate atmosphere that feels removed from the rush of daily life. The vertical framing allows for a detailed study of reflections and the subtle textures of the water’s surface, turning a common rural view into a meditative study of light and liquid form.
