Healing the Roots of Our Shared World
83 Oranges utilizes a high-contrast palette to explore the intersection of human intervention and organic growth. By layering photography of healthcare practitioners against a backdrop of dense, verdant tree foliage, the artist creates a visual dialogue about stewardship. The use of vermilion tones adds a sense of urgency and vitality, grounding the digital collage in a palette that feels both biological and environmental, highlighting the elemental anatomy of nature.
The composition invites a contemplative exploration of our role as caretakers of the planet. Through the lens of fine art photography, the work suggests a dynamic relationship where the figures are not merely observers but active participants in the landscape's survival. It is a study in duality, balancing the clinical precision of the human figures with the wild, sprawling textures of the natural world to illustrate a deep, elemental connection.
The inclusion of medical figures suggests a literal and metaphorical need to treat the environment with clinical care and attention.
This work investigates the power of color relationships, using high-contrast pairings to create a sense of visual vibration and movement.
The collage illustrates how diverse plant life and wildlife species rely on a delicate ecosystem balance to thrive.
The work thrives on the tension between truth and fiction, presenting a story that feels both grounded and invented.
