Born from a 3 a.m. vision, Ryan’s work for the Abbeydale and Siren Craft Brew collaboration functions as a living archive of the brewing process. While the first label in the series depicted simple seedlings in a field, 'Reap A Harvest' utilizes transparent elements to physically layer the present over the past. This technical choice reflects the beer’s own journey from a fresh Farmhouse IPA to a complex, bourbon-barrel-aged liquid infused with fruit, allowing the viewer to see the origins of the brew through the matured artwork.
Ryan employs a Pop Surrealist lens, blending traditional pencil work with digital coloring on a Wacom Cintiq to create a vibrant landscape. The artwork captures the passage of time through visual density; where there was once open space, there is now a rich harvest of botanical detail. It is a design that relies on the physical interaction of the collector, inviting them to stack the labels to witness the full narrative of growth and the influence of the barrel.
