Art Analysis
A geometric window into the quiet power of the peaks
The composition uses digital emulation to weave together diverse natural elements—mature trees, jagged rock formations, and reflective water—into a unified, square-format vision. By stripping away color in favor of a monochromatic palette, the artist emphasizes the interplay of light and shadow across the dynamic cloud formations and the serene river below.
There is a pop surrealist quality to how these fragments of the natural world are reassembled, creating a mountain view that feels both expansive and contained. The classic frame anchors the abstract arrangement, grounding the majestic peaks and shifting sky colors in a way that honors traditional landscape imagery while exploring a fragmented, layered perspective.
By working in a black and white palette, the artist emphasizes the structural integrity and shadows of the human body.
MarkoKoeppe utilizes layered digital techniques to assemble vintage imagery and abstract forms into a complex narrative.
By placing realistic figures in impossible settings, the work explores the boundaries of what we perceive as real.
The work focuses on the raw textures of various rock types and the imposing presence of mountain summits.
