In this work, Khokhar explores the intersection of regional identity and leisure through the lens of a single, recognizable subject. The vertical orientation emphasizes the structural beauty of the Piña Colada, treating the glass and its garnishes with the same reverence one might afford a traditional portrait subject. The composition relies on clear lines and a deliberate palette to convey the cooling sensation of the drink against a sun-drenched backdrop.

By isolating the cocktail, the artist invites the viewer to linger on the textures and cultural heritage associated with Puerto Rico's national beverage. There is a rhythmic simplicity to the piece that mirrors the relaxed pace of Caribbean life, grounding the viewer in a specific sense of place through a singular, well-defined focal point.
