In this portrait-oriented composition, the artist explores the profound silence found at the water's edge. The vertical framing forces the eye to travel from the soft textures of the foreground up toward the distant horizon, emphasizing the vastness of the sky and its mirror image upon the lake. It is a study of balance, where the boundary between the air and the water blurred into a singular, cohesive atmosphere.

By focusing on the rhythmic interplay of light across the surface, the work avoids unnecessary detail in favor of a felt experience. The composition relies on a gentle palette to evoke a sense of isolation that feels restorative rather than lonely. Every element is placed to guide the viewer into a state of rhythmic breathing, mimicking the slow lap of water against a hidden bank.
