Art Analysis

Teal tones and geometric layers
This composition centers on the upper half of the Statue of Liberty, which rises toward the top left corner. The image is built from several rectangular blocks that break up the figure, while translucent circles and swirling patterns drift across the scene. The color scheme is limited to white, light gray, and various shades of teal and pale blue, giving the work a cool tone.
Small details are placed around the edges of the central figure. The bottom of the picture features the name of the statue and the year 1886 in simple lettering. On the right side, geographic coordinates are printed in a small font, aligning with the thin geometric lines that cross the background. These elements merge with the statue to create the minimalist look the artist describes.
This piece belongs to a series of New York City designs, sitting alongside other versions of the same subject that use different colors like pink or include the city skyline.
