Art Analysis
From the artist, Branka Kodžoman
A soft, spirited celebration of the slow morning.
In this illustration, Kodžoman uses a muted blush palette to evoke the warmth of tangled bedding and the hazy light of early hours. The composition focuses on the hands as they emerge from the folds of fabric, gripping a wine bottle and a champagne flute with a sense of relaxed purpose. By stripping away the background, the artist emphasizes the tactile comfort of the linens and the playful contrast of evening spirits met with morning rest.
The work balances a pop art sensibility with a gentle, grainy texture that keeps the mood grounded and intimate. There is a subtle humor in the juxtaposition of the formal glassware against the informal setting of a bed. It captures a specific kind of modern leisure where time slows down, allowing for a small, spirited ritual before the day begins.
The piece uses sparse lines and a limited color palette to focus entirely on the playful interaction between the hands and the spirits.
The artwork captures a relaxed, slightly rebellious morning mood through the presence of wine and champagne in a domestic setting.
Gentle textures and muted blush tones create a sense of physical comfort and the soft atmosphere of waking up.
