Art Analysis
A rhythmic assembly of balanced geometric forms
In Modern Block Study 1, Kodžoman explores the relationship between density and airiness. By stacking muted blue and warm beige against a stark black foundation, the artist creates a sense of architectural stability. The composition relies on the subtle overlap of shapes, where each color block acts as a structural element in a larger, balanced puzzle.
The use of a soft, organic palette prevents the sharp edges from feeling cold, instead inviting a sense of calm order. Encased in a classic frame, the portrait orientation emphasizes the vertical climb of the forms, guiding the eye through a sequence of layered tones that celebrate the clarity of simple geometry.
The artist utilizes refined angular shapes and faceted forms to build the dog's likeness from a series of sharp, interlocking planes.
By utilizing a minimal approach, the artist emphasizes the vastness of the horizon and the isolation of the tower.
The interplay of sage, blue, and beige creates a steady, calm visual cadence across the canvas.
