In this portrait-oriented study, Deificus reimagines the geography of Milwaukee as a high-contrast icon. By isolating the city’s boundaries and internal arteries against a deep, dark backdrop, the artist highlights the organic growth and intentional planning that define the lakefront metropolis. The use of a metallic gold palette suggests a sense of value and history, turning a functional map into a relic of place and identity.

The composition relies on the interplay between negative space and the intricate web of streets. Every line serves as a literal path through the city, yet collectively they form an abstract texture that feels both architectural and decorative. It is a focused meditation on how we navigate our environments, rendered with a clean, graphic sensibility that honors the specific shape of the land.
