In this landscape, the artist employs a rich impasto technique to bridge the gap between the celestial and the terrestrial. The snow-capped mountains and dense forests are not merely painted but carved onto the canvas, creating a textured depth that mimics the rugged reality of high-altitude terrain. This physical weight contrasts with the ethereal, vibrant band of the Milky Way, which anchors a sky thick with stars and cosmic energy.

The composition relies on a mirror-like symmetry, using the still waters of an alpine lake to double the intensity of the night sky. By framing the scene with dark, looming silhouettes of timber and stone, the artist focuses the viewer’s eye on the deep mystery of the reflection. The result is a quiet, evocative study of light and shadow that captures the vastness of the cosmos within the intimate confines of a mountain valley.
