This portrait-oriented work utilizes the medium of collage to bridge the gap between the mid-century human experience and the infinite reach of the stars. By layering grainy, vintage imagery of people against a backdrop of celestial bodies, the artist creates a surreal environment that feels both nostalgic and alien. The composition treats the lunar landscape not as a barren frontier, but as a pool of memory where the past and the future overlap.

The abstract arrangement of elements emphasizes a dreamlike logic, where the scale of the human figure is juxtaposed against the rhythmic patterns of the universe. The use of retro source material lends a warmth to the cold vacuum of space, grounding the cosmic themes in a familiar, analog texture. It is a study of exploration that looks inward as much as it looks toward the horizon, capturing a quiet moment of contemplation amidst the stars.
