In this landscape-oriented digital work, Carla Daly reimagines the vast expanse of Canada as a dense, joyful collection of illustrated inhabitants. The map functions as both a geographic guide and a character study, using a bright palette to distinguish provinces while populating them with a cast of expressive animals. From the icy reaches of the north to the forested coasts, each creature is rendered with a soft, cartoon-inspired charm that makes the rugged terrain feel approachable and full of life.

By blending the precision of digital art with the whimsical spirit of travel illustration, the piece emphasizes discovery over data. The composition balances the sprawling scale of the country with intimate, localized details, encouraging the eye to wander across the borders. It is a celebratory take on national identity that prioritizes the natural world, framing the map not just as a tool for orientation, but as a narrative of the wild spirits that define the land.
