Displaced - my representation of typhoon season in Hong Kong. Anybody else experienced typhoons? As far as my memory goes, typhoons signified waking up excited about the possibility of not going to school. Getting out of school early and having the day off. Going for walks in the harbour to enjoy the cool windy weather. However, as I grew older I realised the destructive nature of typhoons. Where I could be safe in my home built to to weather such environmental forces, many were not as fortunate. They faced real damage that would take time and money to repair.
