Geometric Triangles Aurora
Francisco ValleFrancisco Valle constructs a luminous landscape where mathematical precision meets the ethereal glow of the northern lights. This piece organizes light into sharp, crystalline fragments, creating a sense of atmospheric depth through a structured, geometric lens.

Art Analysis
A rhythmic architecture of light and crystalline geometry.
In this composition, Valle explores the intersection of natural phenomena and digital abstraction. The artwork reimagines the fluid, shifting curtains of an aurora as a series of rigid, interlocking triangles. By layering these translucent shapes, the artist achieves a rhythmic sense of movement, as if the light is refracting through a prism. The vertical orientation emphasizes the upward reach of these forms, mimicking the way light climbs the night sky.
The color palette relies on the contrast between deep, shadowed voids and vibrant, neon-edged gradients. Each triangle acts as a facet, catching and holding color to build a complex architecture of light. This approach strips away the chaos of the natural world, replacing it with a clean, balanced geometry that feels both expansive and meticulously ordered.
The work uses non-representational shapes to build a balanced composition that prioritizes form and color over literal imagery.
Using acrylics, the artist creates a sense of moisture and fog that obscures and reveals the subjects in equal measure.
The artist mimics the behavior of light passing through glass, using gradients to suggest refraction and energy.
