Geometric Rain
Francisco ValleFrancisco Valle constructs a rhythmic downpour of form and color, translating the fluid energy of a storm into a rigid, calculated grid. This portrait-oriented composition captures the tension between the chaotic motion of rain and the structural clarity of geometry.

Art Analysis
The rhythmic architecture of a digital downpour
In this work, Valle reimagines the natural phenomenon of rainfall through a lens of sharp angles and deliberate placement. The verticality of the piece emphasizes a sense of gravity, drawing the eye downward through a sequence of repeating shapes that mimic the relentless pace of a cloudburst. By stripping away the softness of water and replacing it with hard-edged elements, the artist invites a meditation on the hidden patterns found within the atmosphere.
The use of a portrait format concentrates the energy of the piece, creating a narrow window into a world where weather is governed by mathematical precision. The interplay of light and shadow across these geometric droplets suggests depth and movement, turning a static arrangement into a vibrating field of visual noise. It is a study in how simple repetitions can evoke the complex, immersive feeling of standing in the middle of a heavy rain.
The portrait format dictates a specific flow of energy, forcing the eye to travel across stacked abstract elements.
The piece breaks down its subject into a series of non-representational shapes and bold color fields.
The repetition of sharp forms creates a visual pulse that mimics the steady, hypnotic sound of a storm.
