In this work, Kulik employs digital collage to bridge the gap between vintage aesthetics and surrealist imagination. The composition centers on a portrait that feels reclaimed from a forgotten archive, layered with lush floral elements that seem to sprout directly from the subject’s consciousness. By juxtaposing the sharp textures of nature against the soft, faded tones of the past, the artist creates a sense of organic mystery that feels both grounded and otherworldly.

The interplay of landscape and portrait orientations within the frame suggests a shifting perspective, as if the viewer is looking through a kaleidoscope of memory. The digital technique allows for a seamless yet jarring integration of elements, where every petal and leaf carries the weight of a physical artifact. It is a study of growth and stillness, capturing a moment of silent reflection amidst a blooming, surreal wilderness.
