In this landscape composition, Böhmer explores the delicate boundary between the tangible forest floor and the weightless quality of low-hanging fog. The trees emerge as dark, slender silhouettes against a pale backdrop, creating a sense of natural architecture that recedes into an opaque horizon. The horizontal orientation emphasizes the vastness of the woods, inviting the eye to wander through the layers of grey and muted tones.

The work relies on a minimalist palette to convey the damp, cool air of a morning in the wilderness. By stripping away vibrant color, the artist focuses on the texture of the atmosphere itself, making the negative space between the trunks feel as substantial as the wood. It is a grounded observation of how light filters through density, capturing a fleeting weather event with steady, quiet clarity.
