In this photographic study, Pröpper explores the delicate textures of a landscape held in the grip of winter. The vertical composition emphasizes the height of the trees and the vastness of the sky, drawing the eye upward through layers of mist and frozen detail. By focusing on the specific light of early morning, the artist reveals how cold air can soften the edges of the physical world, turning a familiar outdoor scene into a space of quiet contemplation.

Nature is presented here without artifice, relying on the inherent geometry of the wilderness to provide structure. The photography remains grounded in the reality of the environment, capturing the subtle gradients of color that emerge when the sun first hits a snow-covered or frosted terrain. It is a work that values the fleeting, quiet moments of the seasons, inviting a slow observation of the textures found in the wild.
